Questions : Is AWS funding the OpenDistro? What assurance do users have if elastic closes the source or sues, that AWS will continue the Open Distro? Does Open Distro mean that AWS will open all it’s sources also ?
If I begin to rely on OpenDIstro, is there a long term intent to commit to the effort? Without that, I cannot recommend it’s use.
Most importantly, is plug in maintenance. I’ve been burned badly on updated and un-upgradeable plugins that “aren’t part of the product” but that fulfill a essential use case.
