Open Distro for Elasticsearch 1.0.2 now available with security updates

Open Distro for Elasticsearch 1.0.2 is now available. A minor version update was rolled out this week on July 23 2019 to provide security updates for Open Distro users.

Version 1.0.2 includes security plugin fixes to update roles.yml for Kibana read-only modes and to support backward compatibility with Open Distro 0.x versions, to add roles for use by the alerting plugin and to update for the action group validator in the security Kibana module.

This release includes Elasticsearch 7.0.1, Kibana 7.0.1 from upstream and the latest versions of Open Distro plugins. You can find details on enhancements, bug fixes, and more in the release notes for each plugin in their respective GitHub repository.

Download the latest packages

Docker images for this release of Open Distro for Elasticsearch and Kibana can be downloaded from Docker Hub. If you are using Docker, make sure your compose file specifies 1.0.2 or uses the latest tag. Additionally, RPMs and Debian packages are available for installation. You can also download the PerfTop client here and our SQL JDBC driver here. You can also find our Security plugin artifacts on Maven Central.
