Kibana on OIDC Token Expiration: Failed to connect to Console's backend

When a Token expires, and you are e.g. in the Dev Tools in Kibana, the only thing you get is:

Failed to connect to Console’s backend.
Please check the Kibana server is up and running

It would be nice if it would either do a Silent Redirect to acquire a new Token or a normal Front-End redirect and get you to the same page that you were before.

What backend do you use to authenticate? What version of ODFE did you test?
