Kibana login (Openid/Azure AD) is not working after upgrading to 1.10.1 from 1.8

I have opendistro 1.8 and Elasticsearch/kibana is configured to use openid/Azure AD for authentication. It is working well.
I have performed the upgrade to 1.10.1. Cluster is green but kibana authentication is failing:

{"statusCode":400,"error":"Bad Request","message":"[request query.session_state]: definition for this key is missing"}

Did something change in 1.10.1 and was not documented in the upgrade steps?

update here - After upgrading to 1.10.1 from 1.8 kibana login is not working · Issue #514 · opensearch-project/security-dashboards-plugin · GitHub has resolved the issue. waiting for official release
